Rotor system as the core of rotating machinery components,is apt to have crack initiation due to the complex loads.Nowadays, discrete modeling method is widely used to research the dynamic characteristics and mechanism of failure, which has much limitation in quantitative analysis of complex rotor system. So the Finite Element modeling and analysis method has great theoretical and practical significance in the quantitative analysis of the dynamic behaviour and design of the crack-rotor.Based on the platform of ABAQUS,we set up the three-dimension model of the crack-rotor,used VDLOAD subroutine to simulate non-linear oil-force,researched the dynamic characteristics of crack-rotor under oil-force support. In this paper,we set up a cracked rotor which under hinged support and oil-force support; we also set up a rotor with two cracks whose orientation angle varies from 0°to 180°,used contact law to simulate the breathing behaviour of the cracks, analysed the dynamic characteristics of them, acquired the time domain diagram, frequency domain diagram, orbit diagram and the crack breathing behaviour. To verify the result of the FEA simulation an experiment was designed to research the dynamic behaviour of a rotor with one or two cracks.Based on the theory of Traction-Separation-Law,Cohesive element are used to simulate the crack propagation and its influence on the rotor dynamic behaviour.
