Smart Grid is considered to be power delivery for the 21st century. Nowadays, many developed countries, like America, UK, France and Deutschland, have joined the research of Smart Grid and have proposed a comprehensive package of measures to boost the networks'security and competitiveness. In a word, Smart Grid will be playing an essential role within the power industry in the 21st century. With the promotion of Smart Grid, the advancement of power communication calls for new concept and framework of development, which will be more favorable to the Smart Grid. The main works in this dissertation are as following:1. Analysis of the researches and development of Smartgrid. Summary of the current researches on Smartgrid as well as the demonstration projects has been given in the following chapters, which leads to the requirements for promotion of modern power communication.2. Researches on distributed generation. The importances and meanings of promoting distributed generation, in terms of several relevant subjects such as system planning, power flow, secondary system and power quality, have been revealed. The standards of DGs' parallel operation have been summarized in detail.3. The foucus of this dissertation is on the advancement of communication in a grid, with the promotion of technology, in order to give directional guaidance to the development of power communication.4. According to the upgrade of grids' security monitoring, transmission efficiency, metering, a new telecommunication network framework for new generation of wireless sensor based networks has been putted forwarded, thus promoting the standardizaion of corresponding matters and the modernization of the grids.
