With the development of technology and improvement of living standard, air conditioning systems have become an important part in people's daily life, and their energy consumption are becoming increasingly serious at the same time. Variable air volume system gradually became the trend of large air conditioning system because of its great potential of energy conservation. However, variable air volume system itself is strongly coupled and nonlinear, the traditional PID controller is usually difficult to achieve satisfactory control effect. Therefore, it is necessary to study the control technology of variable air volume air conditioning system in order to improve the control performance.This paper introduces the application and development trend of the variable air volume air conditioning system at home and abroad and analyzes the basic principles and operating characteristics and control methods of the system, and analyzes system design and many control technical difficulties in the basis of a specific project variable air volume running example, and some offices of the project in small-scale fluctuations in the temperature region of the issues, this paper combines the fuzzy theory and PID technology to solve this problem, constituting the two advantages of both fuzzy theory and PID technology, to control the opening of the air valve in this giving example variable air volume air conditioning system. Afterwards, the simulation experiment of PID control and fuzzy PID control are performanced in the environment of MATLAB, which shows that the fuzzy PID control technology can effectively improve the system stability and anti-jamming capability.To be more energy-efficient while safeguarding security and stability in the VAV air conditioning system, after applying the fuzzy control theory to the coordinated control in the fan speed and the opening of the valve, this paper provides a three-zone VAV system-based fuzzy controller and carries out corresponding simulation by MATLAB. The results showed that fuzzy control strategy can improve system stability and achieve better energy efficiency compared with traditional PID ways.The research in this paper shows that the fuzzy logic control strategy in variable air volume system temperature control and the coordination of stability control have made a better control performance and energy saving effect, the fuzzy theory in variable air volume control system is a useful exploration.
