Study On Characteristics Of Operation Driving In Mountainous Road Environment

According to large number of statistical results, most of the traffic accidents, especially those happened on mountain roads were closely related to the behavioral traits of the drivers. Actually, mountain road environments are more likely to induce drivers'mistakes in perception, judgments or operations when they are driving, and then cause frequent accidents. Therefore, studying the drivers'driving behavior features on mountain roads, analyzing their speed control rules, driving traits and operational characteristics, and then proposing achievable drivers safety management countermeasures are significant and valuable in preventing and controlling drivers from arousing traffic accidents.Basic on summarizing domestic and overseas relevant research achievements, this paper starts with analysis of the original materials of traffic accidents based on relevant issues'investigation and research on the common laws of drivers'behavior characteristics, then applies statistics methods to analyze and study the relevance between drivers'behavior features and road traffic accidents, and then researches the mountain road traffic safety issues based on drivers'behavior characteristics under the environment of mountain road and propose achievable traffic accident prevention measures.After establishing the evaluation index system for driving behavior features, we select typical mountain sections in GuiZhou Province to conduct several experiments respectively using satellite positioning system, extract large number of experiment analysis data through strict data filtering and restoring handling, obtain operating buses drivers'speed control characteristics on mountain roads after analyzing those datum, and then analyze the regularity of operating buses drivers'speed control characteristics on mountain roads. Directing at the traffic conditions of mountain roads, we adopt combination of on -site investigation and observation and inquiry forms to do the research of driving behavior features in typical section environments. Record drivers'critical operating behaviors respectively by shooting on the buses and taking notes of different drivers'driving operational traits in typical mountain road sections, and then analyze the datum from the perspective of objective environment and the drivers'operational traits.On the basis of the above results, the paper considers that traffic accidents countermeasures under mountain environment are involved with establishing good driving behaviors, strengthening drivers'safety education etc. And we raise 14 suggestions such as establishing drivers admittance system, enhancing daily management and safety education on drivers and setting up mechanism of prohibiting drivers from fatigue driving etc. These suggestions have important practical significance in reducing and controlling accidents due to drivers themselves'errors.
