CRCP is characterized by the presence of a continuous steel reinforcement set into the cement and by the omission of transverse joints other than construction and terminal joints. Many favourable factors are longevity of pavement smoothness, vehicle riding quality, less maintenance costs and a better long-term performance, so it has wide developing prospect, except for crack bias and hefty costs. At present, many models are researched abroad but it has limitation and not conform to China, in-depth, systematic study on a more complete CRCP mechanical model has important theoretical and practical significance based on the shortcomings in the present study.Based on the current CRCP mechanical models and research methods of temperature gradient and moisture gradient home and abroad, the method of the equivalent linear temperature from the nonlinear temperature distribution and transforming moisture gradient to temperature gradient is proposed on the effects of temperature changes along the thickness and board warping. Considering the effects of load transfer efficiency (LTE) at the transverse cracks, asphalt layer and shoulder, spring element is employed to simulate the mechanism of load transfer, calculation method of LTE and spring stiffness is introduced. According to the two equivalent methods of thinkness and steel, the equivalent slab thickness and equivalent steel concept are put forward and equivalent formula is used to simplify models, in which slab dimension, mesh element, boundary condition and load model etc. are introduced and influence laws of various important parameters on result are obtained.Considering the changes of load transfer coefficients of the cracks, crack spacing, temperature gradient and slab thickness, the stress nomograms of CRCP under vehicle load and temperature gradient design case are given. The punchout mechanisms and procedure are analyzed. With the consideration of LTE loss and concrete fatigue damage etc., the paper puts forward punchout prediction method based on nonuniform distribution of transverse cracks. At last, the paper introduces test sections and CRCP construction technology. Strain and deflection testing method are researched, based on it and current conditions, structural model, which are the test results applied to, is finally implemented to reflect the real load situation more practically.
