With the advancement of west development, construction of advanced express-ways will boom. The fact that our country is a mountainous country makes vigorous construction of road tunnels an unavoidable tendency. With the increasing number of road tunnels, the problems such as collapse etc, are climbing up. When being excavated, the rock stratum can not be transformed into supporting arc shape because of the shallowly buried tunnel, easy fragility, and poor stability caused by serious totting in rock of the top tunnel, and surrounding rocks are deformed so much that the tunnel accidents, such as collapse of the tunnel, etc take place. Therefore, it is the main focus and difficulty to guarantee the construction safety in the shallowly buried section during the tunnel construction.The paper, according to the tunnel in Luya mountain in xibao highway in Shanxi province, put forward the use of advanced geological exploration and monitoring measurement in the monitoring construction methods in the normal tunnel construction procedures in the light of the construction difficulty in the shallowly buried section:â‘ according to the complex specialty of geological condition in the shallowly buried section in Luyan mountain, the comprehensive advanced exploration method which combines geological analyzing methods, geological radar method, and TGP is used, that is, the combination of conventional geological method and geophysical prospecting method. This method, used to prospect from the long, medium and short distance, can greatly improve the accuracy of geological exploration;â‘¡according to the prospecting design data, the report of advanced geological exploration and the geological condition of rock face provided by monitoring measurement, comprehensive evaluation of level of surrounding rock is carried out, design data is optimized, and the reliable and reasonable scheme for excavation and support is given out;â‘¢ANSYS numerical simulation on typical cross-section in tunnel excavation is carried out, and the process of excavation method and support of tunnel is simulated. And then it needs to decide whether the scheme of excavation and support methods is reasonable and reliable according to the stress and the strain of every stratum of surrounding rock in each phase;â‘£improve the monitoring frequency, enforce the monitoring, keep in the picture of the stress and the deformation of the surrounding rock in the tunnel, and analyze and make a research on the monitoring statistics obtained to check whether each procedure of tunnel construction is reasonable, if anything abnormal happens, it needs to find out the reasons and correct the wrong in time to ensure the timely construction guide; and to evaluate the tunnel construction.
