The vehicle loads that acted directly on the bridge, is not only random, but also changedwith the development of automobile industry. These factors maked the distribution of vehicle loads more complex, The study of distribution of vehicle loads, can provide essential data to support to the research of fatigue and reliability of bridge. This paper will investigat run status of random traffic flow of highway bridge. Comprehensive studying the random characteristics of highway random traffic, Through the k-s test, were given to all the features of model the distributed parameter, the distribution type. And compiled a random traffic simulation program which based on measured data. the Highway in the vehicle load calculation method is deduced. The main work as follows:(1) The developingt history of the traffic load on bridges is represented,The various survey methods of traffic flow is summarizes. An inspection method to make full observation for all the elements of highway traffic loads is proposed. The survey methodology used in this article is described, and explained the simplicity, accuracy. Some common types of probability distribution probability,k-s test and matlab are described. The distribution type and distribution parameters of each traffic flow characteristics of velocity, lateral position, time interval, car space and weigh are comprehensive study.(2) The application of several major stochastic processes for building the traffic load models of bridges is studied. It is discussed that the traffic load model for bridges with filtration weibull stochastic process. It is Used matlab software platform, through the use of its good interface processing functions, handles graphics to make the interface that can be inputed all parameters, dynamic showing simulation program of random traffic.(3) Statistics of acquired traffic load data from xi bao Highway show the actual vehicleloads follow a multiple-peaked distribution.A filtered compound Weibull process are used to describe the vehicle load process in each lane. The maximum distributions for three types of vehicle loads are proposed as evaluation loads for the reliability assessmen of highway bridges in their residual lives.
