With the development of automobile industry, large number of waste tires have been handled improperly, not only the environment, but also the human health have been affected. When the asphalt rubber applied to the road, however, it can greatly improve the properties of mixture under high-temperature and low-temperature performance, such as anti-cracking, noise absorpting, anti-aging, and prevent pollution.There are lager different amount conclusions in domestic because there are many factors affect the asphalt rubber, So this paper has conducted the comprehensive system research to rubber asphalt's influencing factors, and has conducted the research with the microscopic experiment to rubber asphalt's modified mechanism, has the very vital significance.According to lab experiments, it researched on reaction temperature, reaction time, dosage of rubber and particle size separately. With the increase of reaction temperature, rubber asphalt's high-temperature performance drops, the low-temperature performance increases, viscoelastic properties to increase first, then drops. With the increase of reaction time, the high-temperature, low-temperature and the viscoelastic properties, first increase then drop. Reaction temperature and reaction time are dependent on each in some extent. When high temperature, the anticipated effect could be achieved in shorter time; to the opposite, long time will be necessary to achieve the same effect. When the dosage is less than 20%, the high-temperature, low-temperature and viscoelastic properties will be greatly improved. When the dosage is more than 20%, along with increase of rubber, the high-temperature and low-temperature performance were improved, but the rate are decreased. Mesh size needs a properly size. With the increase of particle size, the high-temperature performance existence peak values in 40 mesh, the low-temperature performance presents the valley value in 40 mesh, the elastic property drops along with the decrease of particle size.The infrared scanning (IR) test result show that the reaction of rubber powder and asphalt is mainly about physical blending, there are also chemical reaction weakly. the result of thermogravimetry(DSC/DTA) analysis show that the rubber powder need to absorbing large quantity of energy to satisfy intensity self-reaction under the temperature between 200 and 250℃. It can explain why the rubber powder desulphurization and the degeneration phenomenon will increase sharply when the temperature is over 200℃. The result of fluorescence microscopy(FM) test show that the rubber powder is well-distributed in asphalt.
