Since the founding of our country, road construction has developed rapidly. Due to the heavy traffic and the natural aging and other factors, many roads has gone into the disease-prone period. How to repair and maintain the roads has become a serious problem. In order to solve the problem, our research team will develop a new type of integrated gunning asphalt pavement maintenance equipment with the Guangdong Xinmeilaiya Technology Co., Ltd. This paper just concentrates the key technical issues of the new machinery.After extensive comparison and analysis of various pavement repair methods, we will concentrate on a study of road maintenance machinery by gunning. For this new type of machinery development, the paper put forward the overall layout and design of each module, and then research about its technical difficulties. They are three core problems as follows.The first problem is simulation of the gunning. Because of gunning need to use pneumatic techniques. How to ensure that the particles can be uniformly smooth delivery and spraying is a difficult technical. This is a model of gas-solid flow and is a high complexity. We will solve this problem based on computational fluid dynamics simulation method to consider is as the Eulerian multiphase model.The second problem is simulation of the heat exchanger. Shell and tube heat exchanger is a very complex model,because of it is a flow and heat transfer coupled field problem. We will also opt the method of numerical simulation based on computational fluid dynamics to study the heat and flow coupled field. We will do analysis of the thermal field, pressure field by a comprehensive Simulation in order to realize optimization of the shell and tube heat exchanger.The third problem is design and analysis of the aggregate hopper. Aggregate hopper is a large welding parts of steel plate. So mechanical model is complex. It is difficult to apply traditional calibration methods. This article firstly calculates the geometric parameters by optimizing design and then does static structural analysis of it based on the finite element method. For the local stress concentration and lack of rigidity, the original design should be improved. The improvement design also be analyzed to ensure safe and reliableFinally, the whole virtual machine is given based on a three-dimensional design software as well as a brief description of the real machine manufacturing. Through this research, the new road maintenance machinery technical problems can be solved effectively by the finite element method, computational fluid dynamics numerical simulation, optimization design method design methods and other modern mechanical and electrical design methods. Not only to improve the technological content of products, but also greatly shorten the development cycle and cost.
