This article summarizes the consolidation of the existing domestic and foreign research results of the retaining structure of double-row piles, and several currently used calculation methods are compared and analyzed. However, the theory of double-row piles is not yet mature enough, and the existing research theories is based on conventional design theory of basic supporting structure to study the role of principles of double-row piles, the calculation of its structural design has not yet formed a unified theory, therefore, the using of finite element method to analyze double-row piles is necessary.This article also describes the basic theory of using finite element analysis of double-row piles supporting structure and the finite element program MIDAS-GTS, which can be considered non-linear soil, pile-soil contact, and can simulate the impact of the construction process to ensure the accuracy and quality of results.In this paper, by using MIDAS-GTS finite element software, considering the pile-soil contact, through the establishment of three-dimensional finite element model, the author analyzes the impact on the deformation and force when excavate deep foundation by modifying the original model as the back row piles, piles row spacing, double pile stiffness, embedded depth, inconsistent length of forward and back row pile and soil parameters. Through comparative analysis of the result, then summarize the general work rules of double–row piles through comparative analysis of the results; finally, draw some valuable conclusions for engineering applications.
