Turbine draft tube is an important energy recovery turbine flow passage components, the overall energy of the turbine generator characteristics and stability of operation have a direct impact. Draft tube turbine flow field analysis is a key step in optimizing the design, use of three-dimensional viscous computational fluid dynamics software should analyze the flow characteristics of the turbine, the more truly reflect the flow in the turbine.This thesis focuses on the actual situation of a power station, part of the draft tube were analyzed before and after modification, first established with the UG modeling software components, turbine draft tube flow three-dimensional model of the draft tube model will be built into gambit software, its to mesh in FLUENT software applications incompressible continuity equation and the Reynolds averaged NS equations to simulate the flow in the draft tube, while using the standard k-εturbulence model to make both equations closed. Focusing on Francis after the modified draft tube and a prototype tube under different conditions a more comprehensive numerical calculation, both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of remodeling after the end of the water pipes. The study has some practical value, optimal design can be used as a reference tube.
