With the growth of world economy, more and more, governments and car companies pay great attention to the global oil resources and environmental issues. The development of vehicles which are environment-friendly energy-saving and new energy are important to the achieve sustainable development strategy of automobile industry, which study alternative fuel engines, so the development of clean vehicles have been the urgent choice. Compressed natural gas vehicles for those lower emission and higher economy performance are welcomed by the world, which have a wide application and are internationally recognized as the ideal clean vehicles. With the continues development of Chinese ecomomy and the urbanization process, to develop effective environmental protection and compressed natural gas heavy-duty commercial vehicle not only can effectively improve china's energy consumption structure in the transport field, but also can relieve the contradiction between oil supply and demand, and reduce urban pollution. In this paper, we regard compressed natural gas commercial engine as the research object in order to improve natural gas engine performance which is main purpose. It is of important actual significance and practical value to research electronic control system theoretical and experimental research about compressed natural gas engine.To start with, we have analyzed carefully the status and development for electronic control single-fuel natural gas engine in domestic and abroad, then considered the costs and the technical feasibility, finally we have designed the overall program of engine electronic control system, and researched software and hardware for high-energy ignition control system. The hardware is composed of input and output modules, the microprocessor module, communication module and power supply module and so on. We have made ignition control procedures and designed a variety of anti-electromagnetic interference measures for high-energy electronic ignition system.In this paper, we finish the key technology of high-energy ignition module which can make natural gas engine lean burn, and research the integrated and matched technology of high-energy ignition. For commercial high-energy ignition control system characteristics, we can select and calibrate to sensors and actuators of the electronic control system. Depending on different CNG engine conditions, we can select open loop control or close loop control. Depending on CNG engine bench test, we have made some related performance tests. Analyzing the dynamic and economic property of natural gas engine which were influnced by ignition advance angle;analyzing the emission property of natural gas engine which was influnced by ignition energy;calibrating the basic ignition advance angle,the calibration of the cylinder head temperature compensating the ignition advance angle and the calibration of the manifold absolute temperature compensating the ignition advance angle; analyzing the dynamic and economic of the impact factors of natural gas engine.Through research and development, we have achieved a lower fuel consumption and higher power CNG engine, and reached the national emission standardsâ…£. We have made a feasible exploration for the domestic and heavy commercial same single-fuel CNG vehicles. We have identified that the emission of single-fuel CNG vehicles can reach a lower level by matching and calibration under the dynamic conditions.
