Switching power supply (SPS) technology has been used universally since the 20th century 60s. With the background of new power electronic devices, new electric-magnetic material, new controlling policies, new transforming technology and new software progressing quickly, SPS is developing towards high frequency, high efficiency, high power density, high power factor and high reliability.Soft switching technology use resonance to make the switching device's voltage and current remain zero when it's turning on or turning off. This technology can solve many problems which may exist in hard switching situation. Soft switching technology has developed from resonant technology, quasi- resonant technology, zero switching PWM technology to zero transforming PWM technology and it's still progressing ahead quickly.Magnetic components play an important part of power electronic systems. These components mostly achieve energy storage, energy transforming, filter, and electric-magnetic isolating. Their weight is 30-40% of the whole system and their volume is 20-30% of the whole system. Integrated magnetic technology have several magnetic components connect into one magnetic core. Therefore, the volume is decreased, the power density is increased and the filter is simplified as well.Connecting the soft switching technology and integrated magnetic technology in isolated Cuk converter, an advanced switching power supply is gained. This paper will analyze the converter's structure and principle. Then it will introduce the designing method of the converter. In the end, In the end, it shows the simulation of the proposed converter, and the simulation results verify the academic analysis.
