The Balance elbow is an important component of tracked armored vehicles, which connects the body and the load wheel; and it transmits the impact energy which generated by the load wheels'up and down movement to the torsion shaft in order to reduce the impact suffered by the body. With the continuous improvement of performance of armored vehicles, designing the balance elbow puts forward higher requirements. The balance elbow bear and pass a variety of vertical ,horizontal and vertical alternating load during the armored vehicle driving, so it requires a higher fatigue reliability. At present, there is no typical road test and reliable used data of the load spectrum of armored vehicles in our country, armored vehicles,the study of the load spectrum of armored vehicles has great significance.For the variety of the armored vehicles and the complexity of moving traffic, to do all the tests is a huge investment and it is almost impossible. The choose of the load spectrum test vehicles and the road not only needs to be representative also has the universal, the test based on these can provide reliable and practical data for the design department;this paper choose a some tracked infantry fighting vehicles as the test object and select the ring road, traffic sand, stone road, undulating dirty road three typical road conditions.This paper mainly process the following aspects of work:1. The paper made a depth study of load identification technology of existing, and done an in-depth analysis of advantages and disadvantages of a variety of load identification technology. Then determine the load identification method of the balance elbow.2. Work out the force analysis of the balance of elbow and make sure the measuring point, then get the static calibration. Basing the analysis of the static calibration's data, the relationship between input and output can be worked out。And the formula of dynamic load identification can be derived.3. A three-dimensional balanced elbow model can be established using Pro/ E 2.0;its static analysis and modal analysis can be carried out with the ANSYS 12.1 finite element analysis function. Comparing the results of the ANSYS and calibration's, the accuracy of load identification can be verified.4. The dynamic load test of the balance elbow are carried out on the different road conditions; the load identification can be gained according to test data. Through the rain-flow counting MATLAB program, the peak and valley values can be selected. Basing on these ,the load frequency histogram, cumulative frequency graph, the preparation of load spectrum can be rendered;then analysis of the impact of the load with different speeds.5. With the application of probability theory and mathematical statistics knowledge, the data of the load can be analyzed and load distribution function can be derived.
