As technology advances and the development of automobile industry developed rapidly. In two thousand and eight, China's automobile output reached fifty one million, nine hundred and thirty thousand. It surpasses the United States and ranks second in the world after Japan. In two thousand and nine, China's automobile output reached one hundred and thirty seven million, nine hundred and ten thousand. Over the second and third in Japan and the United States yield to become the world's automobile production and sales superpower. China's significant increase in car ownership, cars on people's daily lives and socio-economic impacts are also increasing, resulting in it becoming more increasingly dependent. People likely to pursue higher standards of automotive energy saving, environmental protection, safety, comfort and so on. As the energy consumption of oil increased dramatically, resulting in energy depletion, oil prices, the car's safety, comfort, fuel economy, emissions of research will be the future trend.First, this paper introduces the significance of the research paper, the structure and working principle of mechanical and electronic throttle, advantages and disadvantages of electronic throttle control system, status and development trend of electronic throttle, present technical difficulties and the future direction of development of the electronic throttle, non-linear factors are analyzed, and based on this, mathematical model and matlab simulation model of the electronic throttle are established. In the mathematical model, taking into account the influence of limp-home nonlinear; In control of the reset spring, consider the impact of different spring torque coefficient. Simulation parameters of the electronic throttle are determined. Gain scheduling PID control algorithms and digital PID control algorithm are designed. Combination of the simulation model, it simulated in matlab, and simulation results are analyzed. Software and hardware of the electronic throttle system design is accomplished, and analysis of test results.In this thesis, matlab simulation and testing methods are combined. Before the experimentation, the electronic throttle and the throttle pedal is calibrated to achieve accurate control of the throttle opening purposes. Incremental PID controller and gain scheduling PID controller are designed and done experimentation, including step test of electronic throttle opening. The step goes from a small opening to the large opening and goes from the large opening to the small opening. We can be drawn from the test results, incremental PID control produced a large overshoot, rise time and stability time are longer, response of system exist lag; and gain scheduling PID control with the system fast response, short lag time, small overshoot, characteristics following of the location system is better. Therefore, the gain scheduling PID control can accurately control the opening of throttle and also achieved good control effect in experimentation.
