As one of three serious rice diseases, blast could make rice yield decrease by 10~20% in epidemic year, in severe cases by 40~50%, and even in the heavy disaster area by 100%. The history of rice planting in Heilongjiang Province had more than one hundred years. And Heilongjiang Province was the major rice planting area in our country because of its high-quality rice, but the blast happened frequently in recent years and made serious influence on rice production and food safety in cold regions. At present, rice blast control relied mainly on the chemical methods and management control and cultivation resistant variety. The development of Rice cultivation technology was slow in Heilongjiang, and because of disadvantages of chemical control and the variation of rice blast fungus, breeding new blast resistance lines became the best chaise. The rice Kongyu131 was introduced into Heilongjiang and became the widely cultivated variety because of its cold-resistance, early maturity, high quality, high and stable yield, and good adaptation. Recently, the worsening blast damage to Kongyu131 year after year made the blast heavier in some regions, which limited the further cultivation of Kongyu131.This study tries to expand genetic resources for improving the resistance of Kongyu131 to blast and by molecular marker-assisted selection (MAS), to establish genetic identification and selection system of cultivation of Kongyu131 BL, a multiline variety of Kongyul31 resisting blast. Main results were summarized as follows:1. Single-spore strains were isolated from diseased samples of Kongl31. The mixed suspension of strains were vaccinated into BL6, K22, R6, D12,05CR185, FYB, HR1,HR2, SuiJing8 and SongJinglO for blast resistant identification. The results showed that all of donor parents had resistance to the rice blast strains. Therefore, these varieties could be used as genetic resources of the genetic improvement of kong131 blast resistance.2. SSR markers selected showed polymorphism between kong131 and BL6, K22, R6, D12, FYB & RH1 and closely linked to blast-resistant genes or isolated with the target genes and could be used as the blast-resistant genes to develop Kongyu131-BLs in foreground selection by MAS.3. SSR markers selected showed polymorphism between Kongyu131 and BL6, K22, R6, D12, FYB & RH1 and located in both sides of target genes Pi-1, Pi-2, Pi-9, R6, D12, Pi-d2, Pi-d3 & Pi-gm and could be used to overcome linkage problem effectively.
