The reaction of 12 Japanese different varieties with a single known blast resistance gene and two resistance Taihu japanica rice landraces, Baodao and Heikezijing, to the strains used in this experiment is researched. The analysis of the inheritance of these two vaneties resistance to the Japanese representative strains and the local dominant M grisea races, Z01 and ZE3, was carried out. Results indicate that Baodao is resistant to the eight used strains except for ken53- 33 and Heikeing is resistant to all used strains. Among the known blast resistance genes in the Japanese different varieties, P1-i, Pi- N-z, P1-ta awl Pi-t show resistant to both of ZG1 and ZE3. These guns may be applied in the local blast resistance breeding program. The F1, F2 and B,F, from the cross of Baodan and Lijiang were obtained. The materials of these generations were inoculated with two races, Kcn54-04 mad ZG1, which indicated that the resistance variety, Baodao, has two germ that condition the resistance to the two strains respectively. The genes that condition the two different strains is not the same and perhaps have tighten linkage relatiomhips. F1, F2 awl RILs from the cross of Heikuijing mid Lijmng wu inoculated by the two strains, KenS4-04 and Hokul. Results showed that the resistance of Heikezij lug to Ken54-04 and Hokul is respectively conditioned by two genes awl one gene. One of the two resistance genes that comlition the resistance to KenS4- 04 is the gene which conditions the resistmie to Hokul. The F2 from the cross of Heikezijing and the Japanese different varieties were inoculated with Hokul. results indicated that the resistance gene to Hokul is mmalielic with known resistance genes, and it is a new gene compared with the known guns in the Japanese different varieties, which was tentatively named after Pi-hei. The other blast resistance gene in Heikezij lug can be deduced to be the known gene, P1-i.
