This thesis contents four sections: 1. Effects of different crop residues (soybearn com wheat) on soybean height and cell membrane permeability of leaves 2. Eflhcts of different quantity of soybean residue in soil on soybean height and cell membrane permeability of leaves. 3. By puffing different organic matters abstracted by different solvents from decomposed wheat and soybean residues into sand and studied the effects on cell membrane permeability N chlorophyll content in leaves and R/P 4. Different quantity of organic matters fivm decomposed wheat and soybean residues putted into culture utensils holding sand, then sowed soybean and studied the effects on gemiination. By these experiments we got following results: 1. Soybean residue decomposed in soil made the soil hannfiil to soybean. The wheat and com residues made the soil beneficial to soybean This result showed that the depression in soybean continuous cropping maybe caused by soybean residue. 2. In different organic matters finm decomposed soybean residue, the mailers abstracted by Mythyl and Benzene lowered chlorophyll content in soybean leaves. The matters abstracted by waters acidity solution and n-Hexane made the cell membrane permeability higherthanClC 3. Low quantity of organic mailers fivm soybean residue promoted the germination of soybean seeds and high quantity depressed germination. Low quantity of organic matters from wheat residue did not affect germination of soybean ,but high quantity promoted gennination.
