Aeromonas /iydromonas (Ah) was a major pathogen for cultured fishes. ECPase and OMP were two important virulence factors.Proteinase inhibitor and mucous secretes being of resistance to Ah in Grass carp were detected. Indirect in situ digestion of casein showed the presence of inhibitor of Ah ECPase in Grass carp sera. The inhibitor was designated a Mh-gc. Quanititive inhibition showed that 40 111 Grass carp sera can inhibited 85% ECPase(lOu). a Mh-gc had the MW of 80,000 by SDS-PAGE, a Mh-gc was stable in the pH range from 5-8., the maxium trypsin inhibition capacity was 50 i 1 a Mh-gc for 100 i?g trypsin. the percentage of a Mh-gc in the whole Grass carp sera was 23.57%, Dot-ELISA blockage assay showed that the Grass carp sera could inhibit the OMP of Ah.The inhibiting component had the MW 66,000 by SDS-PAGE. The inhibition factor in Grass carp serum was designated antiM-gc. In the mucus of surface and intestine, inhibitor to OMP were also detected...
