Studies On The Apoptosis Of SPF Chickn's Lymphocytes And Nerve Cells Causing By Avian Encephalomyelitis Virus

The apoptosis of lymphocytes and nerve cells causing by Avian Encophalomyelitis Virus (AEV-NH937) was examined. 1-day-old SPF chicken were infected with AEV-NH937 strain by intracerebral inoculation (I I). 1, 3, 5, 10, 14, 25, 30 days after I I ,and 3, 10, 14 days after I I ,the sick chicken blood, Spleen, thymus, bursa of Fabricius and brain were collected respectively. The pathomorphological changes of brain, the apoptosis of lymphocytes and nerve cells were detected by using pathological technology, flow cytometer and terminal deoxynucleotidyl, transterase mediated dUTP nick endlabeling (TUNEL). The main pathological changes of infected brains were as follows; hypermca and congestion in capillaries, perivascular cuffing. degeneration, necrosis and apoptosis of nerve cells. Neurophage, neurut glial node. The number of lymphocytes apoptosis in bursa, thymus, spleen was increased significomtly comparing with controls (P<0.05) 3days after I I . The number of lymphocytes apoptosis in bursa, spleen showed greatly signigicant (P<0.05) comparing with controls 10 days after I I . Also, the number of lymphocytes apoptosis in spleen, Blood appeared significantly comparing with controls (P<0.05) 14 days after I I . The apoptosis of Purkinje?s cells were easy to be detected using TUNEL technology. It was the first to prove that nonsuppurative encephalitis, nerve cells and lymphocytes apoptosis are the baisic characteristics of AE.
