The genetic diversity of F6-F7 generation from a China-America seniid~izf cmss, C13 X NEAU594, and that of F5-F6 generation of other crosses ~s analyzed on some agmnomic taits, qualitative traits, and resistance to some diseases and insects. By analysis of coefficient of variation, frequency, variance and genetic diversity some conclusions were got as follows:I The late generation of the China-America seniidwsif cross has rich genetic diversity byanalysis of agronomic characters, protein content and oil content in seed and resistance to FLSand SCN.2 The late generation of the China-America semid~rf cross is stable ~thin lines and highlyvariable among lines. They are good materials for molecular mapping.3 Some lines can be chosen from the generation to broaden genetic base of soybean4 Genetic diversity is detem-iined by genetic base and aitificial selection When breeding for agiicultw~, resources should be kept to maintain diversity.
