Forest stand growth is impacted by thinning intensity, thinning methods, stand structure, terrain conditions, timber ages and climates in forest areas. The stand growth process is random changed and the growth models is different under different factors. By investigating the growth changes of larch gernilinii plantation and natural forests stands after thinning with different intensity in Daxing抋n mountain areas, the growth laws of stand elements are systematically analyzed by using the theoretical ways on the computer. The results show that thinning intensity has remarkable impacts on the growth of diameter breast-high and timber volume and few influences on the growth of timber height. With the increase of thinning intensity, the stand total volumes have a little decrease. On the basis of these, using the statistical method and grey system theory, the growth models of stand elements and the relation functions between the elements are given. The grey theory is feasible to calculate the growth quantity of stand elements and the theory will be studied to fit the relations cf stand elements further.
