The experiment was conducted in Xi' an Yajian International Golf Course which was located in HuXian Caotang Holiday Resort of Xi' an city. From March in 2001 to March in the next year, the pathogen of the leaf spot disease on turf-grass was identified as Curvularia lunata Boed.. The test include: 1) the influences of the different conditions (temperature, pH and illumination) on the pathogen; 2) the pathogenicities of the pathogen to some cool turf-grasses (bentgrass, ryegrass, bluegrass, tall fescue) ; 3) the virulences of eleven kinds of fungicides to the pathogen; 4) choose the most four effective fungicides to design the cross test on the most sensitive turf-grass. Results show: 1) temperature, pH and illumination have distinct influences on mycelial growth and conidial germination . The most feasible temperature for mycelial growth is 28~3TC and for conidial germination is 31~34癈; The most fitting pH for mycelial growth and conidial germination is 5~6;12 hours light and 12 hours dark by turns is benefit for mycelial growth, while light and dark have no influence on conidial germination, but ultraviolet radiation can kill the conidium? 2) the pathogen' s pathogenicities to turf-grasses have marked differences; 3)various fungicides exhibit marked differences in virulence on the pathogen and the sequence of virulence is diniconazole > mancozeb > cymoxanil + mancozeb > iprodione > oxadixyl + mancozeb > thiophanata-methyl > chlorothalonil > procymidon > triadimefon > cuzenuls > metalaxyl. The cross test is designed on bentgrass, which is the most sensitive turfgrass in the four trial turfgrasses ,with the most four effective fungicides. The best result is the combination of diniconazole, 200ppm, invasive stage and 5 days interval.
