The experiment was conducted to the improvement of the soil alkali -salinity in songnen grassland, based the seed movement over thenaked alkali-saline soil, which is very important significance on theory and appliance, and at the same time, we also explore a new way to improve naked alkali-saline soil by inserting cornstalk. The results show:(1) The total content of seed movement over naked alkali-saline soil is vast, which is composed of lot of species, and the species which can bear severe saline stress are dominant, but the efficiency of retaining is nominal. Therefore, we can give an important assumption, that is, the short of seed being the key factor which result on the naked alkali-saline soil lasting a long time, it is possible to find a rapid and economic way to restore plantation on the naked alkali-saline soil, if some reasonable method is find which can effectively retain the seed movement.(2) Inserting cornstalk to improve the naked alkali-saline soil still is a new eco-engineering method, on the condition of no sowing seed, only by directly inserting corn stalk on the naked alkali-saline soil, and has significant effect. The method made some plant can survive on the naked alkali-saline soil and can reproduce succeeding, due to the cornstalk' effect on improving the varies soil factors. The low price is the merit of the method, about 250 yuan/hm2, but the production of Chloris virgata also low comparatively.(3) Treatment I which sows the seed of Chloris virgata on the the naked alkali-saline soil inserted by cornstalk directly, and treatment II which sows the seed of Chloris virgata on the naked alkali-saline soil by purposedly harrowed and inserted by cornstalk both gain favorable improvement effect. The aboveground biomass of treatment I and treatment I are 27.99+12.27g/clusterand 53.03+14.99g/cluster respectively. In addition, Chloris virgata can succeeding reproduce in the two treatment, which can provide the need of seeds of the next year. The cost of the new improving method is low, treatment I about 300 yuan/hm2, treatment II about 700yuan/hm2. So treatmet I maybe the better choose and would possess more wide applicable prospect, considering its cost be lower and handle simply.
