To find Schistosomiasis japonicum diagnosing methods, that are cheaper, and higher sensitivity and specificity, and easier in preparation , and can be used in field diagnosis, stool exam and five kinds of serological detective methods COPT, sIHA, bpIHA , PAPS, Three-united-Dot-ELISA were used to detect the Schistosomiasis japonicum . The results of the studies showed as follow:1. The results of stool exam. In the experiment, stool exam was used to detect Schistosomiasis japonicum in 148 farm cattle, which picked at random from Shuangfeng town of Yuanjiang city. The results showed that the positive rate of a-stool-three-exam was 56. 1%, the positive rate of two-stool-six-exam was 68.9%, and the positive rate of three-stool-nine-exam was 74.3%. The results indicate that the Schistosomiasis japonicum had been endangering the development of animal husbandry and there are some positive cattle which not been found out in the a-stool-three-exam and two-stool-six-exam, and the rate of position related with positive intensity. So in the course of stool exam, we should operated strictly according to the principle.2. The results of five kinds of serological detective methods. Using five kinds of serological detective methods COPT, sIHA, bpIHA, PAPS, Three-united-Dot-ELISA for diagnosis of Schistosomiasis japonicum to detect the specific antibodies in sera from 148 cases, which picked at random from Shuangfeng town of Yuanjiang city. The positive rate of COPT was 68. 2%, the positive rate of sIHA was 76.4%, the positive rate of bpIHA was 63.5%, the positive rate of PAPS was 69.6%, and the positive rate of Three-united-Dot-ELISA was 75.0%. The results indicated that the rate of agreement with three-stool-nine-exam of serological detective methods COPT, sIHA, three-united-Dot-ELISA was higher than that of serological detective methods bpIHA and PAPS.3. The results of comparison of stool exam and five kinds of serologicaldetective methods. Using the results of three-stool-nine-exam as the gold standard to work out the relative indicators of five kinds of serological detective methods COPT, sIHA, bpIHA, PAPS, Dot-ELISA for diagnosis of Schistosomiasis japonicum, the results indicated that their sensitivities of COPT, sIHA, bpIHA, PAPS and three-united-Dot-ELISA were 91. 8%, 97.3%, 76.4%, 85.5%, 98. 2% respectively, and their specificities were 97. 4%, 84.2%, 73.6%, 76.3%, 84.2% respectively. The results indicated that serological detective methods COPT, sIHA and Three-united-Dot-ELISA were more suitable for application in field diagnosis for Schistosomiasis japonicum.4. The cost results of stool exam and five kinds of serological detective methods. The three-stool-exam needs to cost 10. 125 yuan in every cattle at every time. The serological detective methods PAPS, Three-united-Dot-ELISA and sIHA need 1.820 yuan in every cattle at every time, and COPT need 1.830 yuan, bpIHA only need 1. 325 yuan. The results indicated the serological detective methods were cheaper than the stool exam.5. Integrative analysis on five kinds of serological detective methods. The results of detection and cost indicated that COPT, sIHA and Three-united-Dot-ELISA were more applicable for practical purpose in field diagnosis for Schistosomiasis japonicum .
