Weeds in tall fescue lawn in West Sichuan are studied in this experimentation. Based on the investigation of weeds in this area, the communities of weeds are classified by the method "Nearest Neighbor" and the cause of formation of these communities is discussed in this paper. The emergence regulation of cool-season lawn weeds and its correlations (PO.01 and P<0.05) between temperature, rainfall and sunlight are studied according to the data of settled Observation and weather. According to above mentioned, the control measures of weed communities are studied too. And the result shows:1. The general emergence weeds are totally 69 species in this area and belong to 27 families.? ?2. The cool-season lawn weeds are classified to 8 communities. There are 2 communities in spring, 3 in summer and 3 in late autumn and early winter. Management level and microenvironment are the important factors which affect weed communities.3. Cool-season lawn weeds have 3 fastigiums in one year. They take place in33\, early spring (the middle and last ten days of Mar), late spring and early summer (thefirst and middle ten days of May), late autumn and early winter (from the beginning to the middle and last ten days of November). Although some weeds emerge in midspring and from midsummer to early autumn, the emergence quantity is far less than it in the 3 fastigiums. Few weeds emerge in Winter (from the end of November to February of next year). The emergence regulation is nearly correlative with weather factors.4. The great mass of weeds emerging in one year can be controlled effectively by the mixture of Benazolin-ethyl and Soderon in spring, Fluroxypyr and Prometryne in Summer, Carfentrazone ethyl and Hoe 16410 in late autumn and early winter. The rest weeds between herbicides application are very few. And these weeds can be controlled by the competition of turfgrass and mowing.4. The analysis of (P<0.05) shows that the effect of local application is not lower than comprehensive application. The gross of herbicides of local application is 33.47-56.47% of comprehensive application when the concentration of herbicides and the quality of herbicides applied in unitage area are same. Therefore, the gross of herbicides applied and the giblets of herbicides are obviously decreased.
