Following the thoughts of crop-models domestically and internationally, using the systematic analysis and computer simulation technology, Tobacco-DSMS was established in this research, based on the data both from the field experiments conducted by the author own during 2001-2002 and several field surveys. In this modeling system, the basic principles of agrometeorology and physiology, and the compositive relationship of inherited potential of tobacco, environment effect and technical manipulation in tobacco were used. It consists the following models, i.e.,(1) tobacco growth duration model: (2) tobacco leafage dynamic model: Lj = (3)other models included the root, stem , and the dynamic of leaf area , et al.Furthermore, applied the computer simulation technology, the author realized the system visually in computer. Then, this system can simulate and forecast the process of tobacco development.Testing the primary models for tobacco growth duration and dynamic leaf age indicated that, the growth duration model has standard deviation (SD) of 1-3 days, leaf age model has a SD of 0-3 days. All these proved it is effective to apply the tobacco-DSMS for simulating the process of tobacco development. In this paper, the link of agricultural knowledge and computer technology was realized. This model system not only has advantages in accuracy, systematicness and mechanism, but also has distinct biological significance. Moreover, because the linker of input and output was designed in tobacco-DSMS, it can be linked to other decision-making system. The simulated result can be used in the production of tobacco agriculture directly. And as a condition or result of other decision-making system , it can be also inputted or outputted. This shows that the system may compensate the disadvantage of other decision-making systems which lacked mechanism and dynamic.
