The Study On Compensatory Growth Of Sunit Ewes

In the study, forty-five Sunit post-pregnancy (90-150) ewes ( BWT. 41.12?3.90kg) were used, and offered 0.25, 0.40,0.55, 1.1 times maintenance energy nutrition level for sixty days.Then,the nutrition restriction was removed to study ability of compensatory growth and possible mechanism. The results were as follows:1. Above 0.40 times maintainal energy intake (0.33ME MJ/kgw?5.d)was necessaryfor Sunit post-pregnancy (90-150)ewes(41.12?.90kg), Because it was the lowest nutrition restriction threshold value for their lambs to obtain completely compensatory.2. Insulin T3 , T4 concentrations could reflect body condition of Sunit ewes during thenutrition restriction period and the initial stages of nutrition compensatory, but they were unfit for the index of monitoring compensatory growth.3. In the conditions of this study, Sunit ewes have the ability of compensatory growth(CG), and there was a positive proportion between compensatory growth rate and nutrition restricted degree.4. During the initial stages of nutrition compensatory, with the increase of restrictionlevel, the digestibility of ADF, NDF decreased.
