Primary Study On Species Diversity Of Eucalyptus Grandis Plantation

By selecting and investigating typical samples, the species diversity of shrubs and herbs were analyzed for Eucalyptus grandis in some plots of mid-subtropical zone in Sichuan province, the diversity among Eucalyptus grandis plantation, other tree species plantation and evergreen broadleaf forest were compared, the effect on the species diversity of the environment condition especially soil condition were studied. The results showed as follow:1. The species diversity of Eucalyptus grandis in different plots were almost identical, and they didn't change with latitude.2. The species diversity of shrubs and herbs didn't show notable differences in Eucalyptus grandis plantation, and didn't have the distribution pattern and the diversity character showed: shrub layer>arbor layer> herb layer in subtropical natural forest ecosystem.3.The effect of soil condition to species diversity of shrub was significant, and the species diversity of the plantation in good soil plots was much higher than in bad soil plots, but the effect on herb diversity was not notable.4.To compare with other near plantations, the diversity didn't decrease, there was no particular mutual biochemistry restraint phenomenon in Eucalyptus grandis plantation.5.To compare with evergreen broadleaf forests in mid-subtropical zone, the total species diversity and shrub species diversity of Eucalyptus grandis plantation was lower clearly, however the herb species diversity was much higher.
