The paper summarized research progress on tissue culture of cherry, mainly studied crucial technology of propagating, rooting, acclimatizating and transplanting on tissue culture of the virus-free dwarf cherry rootstocks GD-1, GD-2, elementarily discussed on micrografting of cherry. The results indicated:l.The best medium for differentiation and mutiplication of dwarf cherry rootstocks GD-1, GD-2, semi-dwarf rootstocks ZY-1 contained MS+BA0.5mg/L+ IBAO.lmg/L+GAO. Img/L, differentiation percentage of explant was respectively 92%, 89%, 95%, mutiplication coefficient 3.4, 3.2, 4.0.2.Root initiation of dwarf cherry rootstocks GD-1, GD-2 was more difficult than semi-dwarf cherry rootstock ZY-1. The better results were achieved on l/2MS+NAA0.3mg/L+ lAAl.Omg/L medium, the root percentage of GD-1, GD-2 was respectively 59%, 57%, the shoots of ZY-1 were given 100% rooting on the medium.3.The root percentage of shoots of GD-1, GD-2 was improved with the media supplemented 1/2MS vitamin Be, a dark treatment of explants and rejuvenation of old shoots. Rooting percentage of 100% was achieved by two-step rooting method.4.The first-class microplants with 0.5-2.0-centimeter-length root, over three taproots and more fibrous roots were optimum for transplanting. The procedure of acclimatizating and transplanting was: a two-week supplemental lighting treatmentoutside laboratory→dipped in the 600-800 times fungicide for 3-5 minutes before transplanting→transferred to autoclaved vermiculite+peat(l:2/V:V) mixture→water ed with autoclaved 1/2MS solution and covered by plastic film →ventilated after transplanting for a week, uncovered plastic film after three-week acclimatizating. The survival rate of microplants was over 90%, and microplants were strong.5.Micrografting of cherry was affected by many factors, the optimum results were not achieved and expected to be further discussed.
