With orthogonal design L9(34), on the condition of different fertilizer application Calendula officinalis plug seedling's root respiratory velocity, RuBP carboxylase activity, catalase activity, peroxidase activity , media respiratory velocity and healthy index were study systematically. The result show that: the effect of nitrogen on the root's various physiology and biomass is the most outstanding. It makes Calendula officinalis plug seedling's root respiratory velocity and RuBP carboxylase activity obviously decreasing, but make its catalse activity, peroxidase activity and media respiratory velocity obviously increasing. The effect of PK on the ground biomass, catalase and peroxidase activity and media respiratory velocity is less than that of the nitrogen. What's more, it didn't cause their amount to change. But on certain condition root respiratory velocity and activity of POD have notable change. Trace element relatively increase the root respiratory velocity, however relatively decreased RuBP carboxylase activity. In addition, the affect of trace element on catalase activity, peroxidase activity and media respiratory velocity is very little. According to this experiment's conclusion as is concluded :when Calendula officinalis seedling was raisednitrogen application amount are strictly checked or not are done, otherwise the up-ground would grow madly, and seedling quality would become bad; but trace element and PK are necessary, and PK fertilizer amount can be decreased, however trace element amount can be increased, so that good quality seedling are supplied.
