Some aspects of the interactions in the tritophic system of mulberry ,Apriona germari Hope,and parasitoid,Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan,were studied in the laboratory.Firstly,I observed its biology .Secondly,the behavioural responses of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan to various plant voatiles were biossayed.Finally,volatiles collected from the various plant treatments were collected and identified.In addition,the learing and the host foraging behaviour of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonanwere studied.The resulte are summarized as follows:1. the biology of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan :Mass complete two eras in one year, minority three.They live through the winter by ripe larvas.In the next June they begin to turn into pupae.Adult insect through the winter appear from the last ten-day of June to the first of July.The first era of adult insect eclosion from the last ten-day of July to the first ten-day of August.The second era of adult insect ecosion from the last ten-day of August to the middle ten days of September.It develop through egg,larva,pupae and adult insect.In the room temperature,the period of egg 0.8 day,the period of larva 17.6 days,the period of pupae 12.3 days and natural life of female insect 4.0 days.The time of growth is 36.6 days.There are 19.43 insects in the parasitized egg.The ratio of female to male is 2.19 to 1.Adult insects can mate many times.More than two green eggs are parastized by a female insect.2.The host foraging behaviour of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan was studied in the laboratory.The green eggs and thedung,the secretion of mouth can elicit host foraging behaviour by the female insects except Apriona germari Hope larva.The female showed different behaviour on different treatment plants.They had host foraging behaviour on plants infested by Apriona germari Hope and plants being infested by Apriona germari Hope.But they only had walking,stopping,cleaning behaviour on intact and mechanically damaged plant.they stayed significantly longer on plant infested by Apriona germari Hope and plants being infested by Apriona germari Hope than on intact and mechanically damaged plant.Females could learn host specific stimuli through contact with the host infested plant and host larvae.Adult learning could improve efficiency of females searching host.3.The olfactory response of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonanto the volatiles of different host plant:In host selection behaviour of females insects was investigated by Y-tube olfactometer.Volatiles from the plant could allure Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan females.Compared to volatiles from intact plants and plant mechanically damaged,infested by Apriona germari Hope was more attractive to females.The volatiles from plant infested by Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan was more attractive to females than those from the mechanically damaged plant.4.Studies on host selection and the behaviour of spawn of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan females:In the course of host selection and oviposit the degree of green eggs,bare or not and form of groove can effect the behaviour of Aprostocetus fukutai Miwa et Sonan.The eggs not more than three day could attractive females to spawn.The bare eggs could not attractive females to parastize.Near to the form of U could allure females to parastize.The process of spawning might separate into threestages,the behaviour before spawning ,spawning and the behaviur after spawning.5.GC-MS analysis of the volatiles from host plant: The volatile substances that the mulberry twig sets free consists of hydrocarbons ,Alkene , wine ,Ketone ,Phenol and Furan etc.It is the same that integrated twig volatile substance of the white mulberry sort is injureed twig volatile substance sort against machinically ,yet opposite to each other the content different .Then the mulberry twig was injured by Apriona germari Hope, the mulberry twig volatility substance sort was added.
