| Three feeding trails were conducted to evaluate the effect of feed different sources of zinc, from zinc oxide (ZnO) and zinc-methionine (Zn-Met) on growth performance, figure of diarrhea (FD), economic efficiency, plasma zinc concentration and to evaluate the possibility of using the Zn-met instead of ZnO.In Exp.1, 96 healthy piglets (L Y D) were randomly assigned to four dietary treatments :100mg/kg , 2500 mg/kg ,3000 mg/kg , 3500mg/kg Zn from ZnO. Each treatment has three repeats. In Exp.2, 96 healthy piglets (L Y D) were randomly assigned to four dietary treatment: 40 mg/kg Zn, 300 mg/kg Zn, 350 mg/kg Zn, 400 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met. In Exp.3, 96 healthy piglets (L Y D) were randomly assigned to four dietary treatment: 100 mg/kg Zn, 3000 mg/kg Zn from ZnO;350 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met; 40 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met +60 mg/kg Zn from ZnO. Each trails was conducted for 17 days.In both trails, piglets were attempted to feed pig starter ration on 5th day. They were formly fed pig starter ration on 11th day. The trails began on 18th day and finished on 35th.The results showed that:1. Piglets fed 2500 mg/kg Zn, 3000mg/kg Zn, 3500 mg/kg Zn from ZnO not only had greater ADG, ADFI and plasma zinc concentration (p<0.05) but also lower FD and F/G (p<0.05) than piglets fed 100 mg/kg Zn from ZnO. 3500 mg/kg Zn from ZnO was the best selection in 10 days after weaning.2. Piglets fed 300 mg/kg Zn, 350 mg/kg Zn, 400 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met not only had greater ADG, ADFI and plasma zinc concentration (p<0.05) but also lower FD and F/G (p<0.05) than piglets fed 40 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met, 350 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met was the best selection in 10 days after weaning .3. Piglets fed 350 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met and 3000 mg/kg Zn from ZnO not onlyhad greater ADG, ADFI and plasma zinc concentration (p<0.05) but also lower FD and F/G (p<0.05) than 100 mg/kg Zn from ZnO in 10 days after weaning. 40 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met +60 mg/kg Zn from ZnO had significant influence on ADG, ADFI , FD and plasma zinc concentration (p<0.05) than 100 mg/kg Zn from ZnO, but had no significant influence on F/G (p>0.05).4. Piglets fed 2500 mg/kg Zn, 3000mg/kg Zn, 3500 mg/kg Zn from ZnO and 300 mg/kg Zn, 350 mg/kg Zn, 400 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met had greater economic efficiency.5. It was feasible to feed 350 mg/kg Zn from Zn-Met instead of 3000 mg/kg Zn from ZnO in the pig starter ration. |
