Heterosis has the potential of increasing lint yield and improving quality in cotton. To colored cotton it is vital to increasing lint yield and improving quality. So heterosis is understood by most of people. Designed as the way of NCII, the results indicated :1. Heterosis over mid-parent(Hm) of FI are higher in seed cotton yield and lint yield. Their heterosis ratios are 100%. The ratios of heterosis over the best parent(Hb) are 53.33% and 20% in seed cotton yield and lint yield. The Hm of fiber quality traits are better, but their Hb crosses are a few. The crosses of A2×A6,A4×A6 and A5×A6 are better in seed cotton yield and lint yield. A2×A6 is best. The cross of A4×A7 is best in fiber quality traits.p2 of all crosses can not be used.2. The dominant effect is the major genetic effect on seed cotton yield. It is two times as large as its additive effect. The additive effect is the major genetic effect on lint yield . It is two times as large as its dominant effect. The additive of lint percentage is 15 times of the dominant. The dominant of boll weight is 24 times of the additive. Among the fiber quality traits, the major genetic effect is the additive on uniformity ration and micronaire. The major genetic effect is the dominant on fiber elongation. The additive effect is same as the dominant effect on fiber length and fiber strength.
