21 F1 hybrids were confected by seven inbred lines of bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria . var. hispide) based on Griffing complete diallel cross method 2 in the experiment . Heterosis of characters including six quality , sixteen agronomic and two cold resistance characters were studied , their combining ability were caculated ,too. According to genetic parameters of part characters, 13 characters'genetic behaviours were estimulated. seven inbred lines and 21 Fl hybrids were evaluated based on the study in the experiment.Inbred line A, D, E can be used as parents for middle or late-maturing with high yield ; inbred line E can be used to select shorten and widen gourd; Inbred line F, G can be used as parent for early maturing, after improving ,they can be very good in early maturing and high yield.Inbred line F can be used as material for ample V-C ; Inbred line C, G as ample protein, Inbred line B as high dry substance , Inbred line A as strong cold resistance.four high yield Fl hybrids were selected according to the result of combining ability analysis and F1 agronomic characters in field, they areB×D - C × E - A×E and D× E, the later two were more early-maturing .The inheritance of length of gourd , oral shape ratio, gourd length shape ratio , protein, MDA was followed additive-dominant model , but the inheritance of plot yield, early yield, female flower period , male flower period - iron was follow by additive-dominant-epidtasis model.Based on dominant effects bigger than addititive effect in the characters of plot yield , early yield , female flower period ,male flower period , first reap day , series female flower node , length of gourd , diameter of gourd, length of oral, protein , dry substance, iron .the conclusion was achieved :non-allelic showed super dominance. MDA 's additive effect more bigger than dominant effect ,and hB2 hN2 both high were foundedin the experiment.Three characters of female flower period , male flower period , diameter of gourd had high hB2 and hN2 ,so selecting could be done in early stage .From the analysis of correlation and path showed that reap gourd per plot -. weight per gourd and diameter of gourd could improve the yield, while length of gourd not ,series female flower node negetive.There are tight relation between growth rate and yield in Fl hybrids, high yield hybrids have strong growth ability ,on the contrary ,low yield hybrids have not strong growth ability.
