Dichondra repens Forst is a semi-phototaxis perennial and stoloniferous warm-season turf grass. Its growing and greening stages are very long lasting and showing fine in beautifulness as well as easy to control in management affairs and to be used in breeding work. It has quite a few characteristics that showing some shading tolerance, heat, water-logging and acid resistance and so on. Whenever the lawn ground cover are established by using this plant species, there would be showing a uniform leveled and beautiful landscape, however.This paper, which we choose Dichondra repens Forst as material, has researched on the cold resistance of Dichondra repens Forst and its effect in .potassium and cytokinin .In the low temperature stress, we have measured some physical indexes, such as the content of proline, solube protein,malondialdehyde,chlorophyll, the activity of superoxide dismutase ,catalase and so on.In this experiment, we have done field and pot experiment which have 5℃, 0℃,-5℃ three different treatment.. Potassium and cytokinin all have low, mid and high three level. The concentration of cytokinin is 10mg/L,30mg/L,and 50mg/L. The concentration of potassium 4.47mmol/L, 13.4mmol/L, 40.2mmol/L.The results of experiment indicated:1. Under the 5℃,0℃,-5℃ chilling stress, it could raise the content of proline, solube protein, malondialdehyde,anthocyanin, intercellular CO2 concentrations, and decrease the activity of superoxide dismutase ,catalase, and the content of chlorophyll, stomatal conductance.2. The application of potassium could increase the content of proline , solube protein, chlorophyll.lt decrease the activity of superoxide dismutase ,catalase and malondialdehyde anthocyanin content. The concentration of 13.4mmol/L was suitable to enhance the cold resistance and prolong green period of. Dichondra repens Forst.3. Cytokinin could increase the content of proline , solube protein, chlorophyll.lt could decrease the activity of superoxide dismutase ,catalase and malondialdehyde anthocyanin content. The concentration of 30mg/L was best to strength cold resistance and prolong green period of. Dichondra repens Forst.Potassium and cytokinin could raise the activity of system of endogenous protective enzymes of Dichondra repens Forst under chilling stress, decrease the level of membrance-lipid peroxidation and ease membrance damage, so that it increased the cold resistance of Dichondra repens Forst.
