The aim of this project was to investigate the pathogenesis of eperythrozoonosis in Han sheep(small tail). Han sheep (small tail) were divided into normal control group and experiment groups, experiment groups were divided into positive control group and treatment groups, treatment groups included Touweng Sijunzi Tang group, Qinghao Sijunzi Tang group, Danpi Shengdi Tang group and terramycin group, every group had ten sheep, normal control group and experiment groups collected blood from jugular vein and scapha vein respectively the previous day of treatment and the 1st day, the 4th day and the 7th day after treatment, totally 4 times, examining erythrocyte immune function, T lymphoid cell value of peripheral blood and serum NO, SOD, MDA, TP, Alb, etc. and observing, recording the clinical symptoms and the general appearance, appetite condition, temperature of each sheep. The results of the experiment indicated that experiment group was different from normal control group not only in clinical symptoms, but also in blood parameters, such as descent of erythrocyte immune function and ascent of T-lymphoid cell value of peripheral blood, unusually high serum NO content, descent of activity of serum SOD, obvious ascent of MDA content, etc. After treatment, in Touweng Sijunzi Tang group, erythrocyte immune function rised, T lymphoid cell value of peripheral blood dramatically ascended, serum NO dramatically reduced, activity of SOD rised, MDA content descended, etc. and clinical symptoms obviously improved, the general appearance rised, the appetite enhanced, temperature descended dramatically. In Qinghao Sijunzi Tang group, erythrocyte immune function dramatically improved, T lymphoid cell value of peripheral blood changed unclearly, serum NO descended, activity of SOD came to decrease, MDA content dramatically descended, etc. clinical symptoms were ameliorative, the general appearance and the appetite condition builded up, the temperature reduced. In Danpi Shengdi Tang group, except that activity of SOD markedly increased, MDA content prominently descended,the remaining parameters didn't change remarkably. Clinical symptoms improved only a little, the appetite enhanced. In terramycin group, erythrocyte immune function had no distinct change, T lymphoid cell value of peripheral blood markedly ascended, serum NO dramatically descended at first and ascended at 4th day and 7th day, activity of SOD had no distinct change, serum MDA dramatically ascended at first after treatment and dramatically descended in the 4th day, Clinical symptoms improved litter, the general appearance and the appetite were not ameliorative. After treatment, erythrocyte infection rate of eperythrozoon of the four treatment groups dramatically descended, but the descent extent of Touweng Sijunzi Tang group and Qinghao Sijunzi Tang group were greater than that of Danpi Shengdi Tang group and terramycin group. The results indicate that in affected eperythrozoonosis sheep erythrocyte immune function dramatically descend, T lymphoid cell value of peripheral blood rises, serum NO of eperythrozoonosis sheep unusually ascends, SOD activity descends, serum MDA content ascends, etc. After the therapy of treatment groups, curative effect of Touweng Sijunzi Tang was the best, it made immune parameters recover, clinical symptoms prominently improved. The second best was Qinghao Sijunzi Tang, superior to Danpi Shengdi Tang and terramycin.
