Studies On Trachemys Scripta Of Biology Reproduction,The Environment Of Incubation And The Juvenile Growth

This paper deals with the reproduction of Thrachemys scripta, the effects of environment on incubation and the juvenile growth in April-November, 2002. The relationship is significant.The experimens results indicated that low temperature( <26 + 1C>.induces turtle embryo gonad fostering into male, High temperature (>30+1C) indules turtle embryo gonad fitering into female. In a certain range, the higher temperature, the shorter time of embryo fostering and the more previous of coming out of skull, whereas it is. In the former incubation (30d) , The temperature should maintain to 32 +1C, in the later incubation (25d) it is 26+1C,Do it so, shortening the incubation time as well as hatching rate. The hatching media which could pass through 14 sifter but could not pass though 30 sifter should use moderate sand. Its humidity, coutaining water, should be 7-10%, to meet these condition, the ratio of incubation gets to74%.In nature condition, the juvenile Thrachmys scripta feed mix diets 100 days, the individual weight from 5.10g to 67. 24g, the average weight being 0. 62g. The body weight, Carapace length and carapace width were directly proportional daily age. When the body weight of turtle was under 50g, the turtle grew slowly, under the same feeding condition, the individual growth rate was different each other significantly.
