In order to select optimized project of plant growth regulators and improve lodging-resistance of high quality ramie variety, a high quality ramie variety "Xiangzhu 3" was used in this research. Three growth regulators, GAa, uniconazole, prime, with five levels of each, were used in this experiment with orthogonal rotated combination design. The effects of the regulators and their combinations on the raw fiber yield, fiber fineness and lodging-resistant index of ramie were analysed. The main results were shown as following:1 .Mathematical models of raw fiber yield, fiber fineness, lodging-resistant index and compound growth regulators were established. The models were examined by F test, raw fiber yield was significant at the 0.10 level, fiber fineness at the 0.01 level and lodging-resistant index at the 0.05 level. We could make use of the models to choose the optimized project.2.Experimental results showed that GA$ has significant effect on raw fiber yield, has significantly negative effect on fiber fineness and lodging-resistance index. Uniconazole has not significant effect on raw fiber yield, has significantly positive effect on fiber fineness and lodging-resistance index. Prime has not significant effect on raw fiber yield and lodging-resistance index, has significantly positive effect on fiber fineness.3. Experimental results with single factor analysis showed that GAs changed the raw fiber yield from 703.14 to 863.17 (160.03 kg/hm2), and the fiber fineness from 1497.84 to 1927.56 (429.72 Nm), and the lodging-resistance index from 45.30 to 89.27(43.97 g/mm). Uniconazole did not change the raw fiber yield significantly, but changed the fiber fineness from 1645.96 to 1852.83 (206.88 Nm), and the lodging-resistance index from 73.14 to 101.07(27.93 g/mm). Prime changed the raw fiber yield from 760.25 to 828.60 (68.35 kg/hm2), and the fiber fineness from 1630.80 to 1877.37 (246.57 Nm), and the lodging-resistance index from 52.46 to 87.10(34.64 g/mm).4.Experimental results with mutual effect showed that high level GAs and moderate level prime could increase raw fiber yield 34.09 kg/hm2, low level uniconazole and high-moderate level prime could also increase raw fiber yield 12.27 kg/hm2. With the high level GA3, the mutual effect of uniconazole and prime could increase raw fiber yield 46.38 kg/hm2. Low levelGA3 and high-moderate level uniconazole could increase fiber fineness 99.80 Nm, low-high level GA3 and high-moderate level prime could increase fiber fineness 97.79 Nm, moderate level uniconazole and high-moderate level prime could also increase fiber fineness 24.54 Nm. With the low level GAj, the mutual effect of uniconazole and prime could increase fiber fineness 124.36 Nm. Moderate level GAj and high level uniconazole could increase lodging-resistance index 13.97 g/mm, high level uniconazole and moderate level prime could also increase lodging-resistance index 13.97 g/mm. With the moderate level GAj, the mutual effect of uniconazole and prime could increase lodging-resistance index 13.96 g/mm.5.The raw fiber yield was significantly affected by single stem yield, valid stem, diameter of stem, fresh weight of cortex and plant height. The fiber weight and raw fiber yield showed negative direct influence on fiber fineness. The lodging-resistance index was not significantly affected by raw fiber yield and fiber fineness, but significantly affected by fresh weight of the middle stem, thinckness of xylem and diameter of stem.6. Mathematical models of raw fiber yield and compound growth regulators were established. The models showed that when GAs, uniconazole and prime was 36.01-40.00 mg/kg. 4.40-15.60 mg/kg and 264.57-449.43 mg/kg respectively, the raw fiber yield (third-ramie) was higher than 862.00 mg/kg. The combination of compound growth regulators for the maximal raw fiber yield (874.97 kg/hm2) was: GA3 40.00 mg/kg, uniconazole 0 mg/kg and prime 145.00mg/kg.7. Mathematical models of fiber fineness and compound growth regulators were established. The models showed that when GA3, uni...
