Panax ginseng are famous herb medicine which are planted at large in Jilin province. This research used three-year-old Panax ginseng of Jilin province and applied pot experiments under invariable condition in the house, which alter source-sink by removing leaves or flowers. Under invariable condition in the artificial illuminating planting chamber, studied effects of source-sink alteration on diumal changes of photosynthesis and mass productions effects of original rhythm on diumal changes of photosynthesis in leaves of Panax ginseng, The main results are as follows:1. Correlativity between photosynthesis and mass production of diumal changes in leaves of Panax ginseng.Under invariable light, temperature and humidity etc. condition in the artificial illuminating planting chamber ,net photosynthetic rate of Panax ginseng have two peeks in the whole grown stage, which are full un-folded stage and green fruit stage, flowering stage is second, red fruit is lowest. Net photosynthetic rate of Panax ginseng has marked diumal decrease changes, photosynthetic rate in the morning is high than in the afternoon, but diurnal decrease of photosynthetic rate is less than natural growing leaves. Pn and Cond is marked positively, Pn and Tr is not marked positively. Changes of Ci state that diumal decrease of photosynthetic rate is caused by non-stomata factors. Diumal changes content of soluble surge and starch in leaves in the morning is less than in the afternoon, soluble protein is opposite. Pn and SLW content of starch is marked negatively correlate, So, accumulation of photosynthetic products was related with diumal decrease of photosynthetic rate. 2.Effects of source-sink alteration on diumal changes of photosynthesis and mass production in leaves of Panax ginsengRemoving 25% leaves of Panax ginseng(full un-folded stage) can decrease about 25%the whole metabolic source, which make photosynthetic rate notably increase 8.1%,but increasing degree of the morning is different increasing degree of the afternoon, increase 5.1% in the morning, increase 12.3% in the afternoon; Cond and Tr have different increase .changes of Ci are little, soluble protein increase 5.9%, soluble surge decrease 3.9%,and starch decrease6.1%; In the whole grown stage , photosynthetic rate of remainder leaves greatly increase in the green fruit stage and red fruit stage, which is 11.3%,9.6%, but flowering stage and full un-folded stage small increase, which is 8.8%, 8.0%; soluble surge content of remainder leaves in green fruit stage and full un-folded stage greatly decrease than in flowering stage and red fruit stage, starch content of remainder leaves greatly decrease than other stage, secondly red fruit stage and green fruit stage, last full un-folded stage. Green fruit stage and red fruit stage increase photosynthesis, which promote photosynthetic products transport to root, so, removing leaves promote photosynthetic products transport to sink, photosynthetic rate greatly increase, but photosynthetic products of full un-folded stage and flowering stage mainly are applied with nutritious and reproductive growth over ground, photosynthetic products which are transported to sink decrease, so, photosynthetic rate small increase.Removing flowers of Panax ginseng(flowering stage) can decrease metabolic sink to need organic matter, which make photosynthetic rate notably decrease 8.8%,but decreasing degree of the morning is different decreasing degree of the afternoon, decrease 6.8% in the morning, decrease 10.8% in the afternoon; Cond small change, which is small decline; but, Curve of Tr diurnal changes is approximate right line. Content of soluble protein decline 9.8%, content of soluble surge increase 3.0%, and content of starch increasel2.3%. Removing flowers can restrain photosynthetic products to transport, so, photosynthetic rate decline.Diurnal changes of photosynthesis of leaves of Panax ginseng are relative with accumulation and transport of photosynthetic products. 3.
