In order to understand the effect of the activity of super Absorbent Polymer on the improvement of desertification, the cellulose which can absorb water strongly was made from plant stovers. At the same time, many kinds of microorganism such as nitrogen-fixing, bacteria, cellulose degrading enzymes were used to made into super Absorbent Polymer (SAP). The effects of these SAPS and traditional ruin SAP were compared and analyzed. The effects on soil density, enzymes and microorganism in the soil were studied respectively, The results are as follow: The SAP which has the effect of improving the desertification may increase the enzyme activity, increase the fertility rare of microorganism in the soil by 17.0%, and decrease the soil density by 2.9%.Traditional SAP will result in the pollution of soil in the long-term utilization during the forestation. However, SAP may promote the extent of soil humus, increase the formation of soil gathering structure, so it is necessary for changing the physical and chemical character of soil.Different concentration of SAP were made with the carboxymethyl cellulose, plant stovers and the mixture of them, then they were mixed with the mixture of hormone, compound amino acid, aceltyl coenzxyme A and ATP. Forestation experiments were compared according to orthogonal method. The best kind of SAP was found by determining the physiological index and growth index. The present study provides scientific basis for soil improvement and forestration.
