The present studies, including two sub-experiments, were carried out to studythe effects of Se sources and interaction of organic Se with methionine on theperformance and physiological and biological indices of Arbor Acres broilers. In Exp 1, in order to study the effects of Se sources on the performance, Sedeposition in tissue, anti-oxidative ability, meat quality and thyroid hormoneof broilers, 225 one day-old Arbor Acres borilers were randomly divided intofive treatments with 3 replicates, 15 birds in each replicate, birds in treatmentⅠ was fed on the basal diet (as the control), the basal diet of the start and endstage were containing 0.04mg/kg and 0.03mg/kg Se, respectively; Diets oftreatment Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ and Ⅵ were formulated by supplementing0.15mg/kg, 0.30mg/kg organic Se, 0.15mg/kg, 0.30mg/kg inorganid Se intothe basal diet. In Exp. 2, 405 one day-old Arbor Acres broilers were allotted toa 3×3 factorial randomized complete block design (15 birds per replicate with3 replicates per treatment). Factors consisted of 1) dietary supplementationwith organic Se (0, 0.15, 0.30mg/kg) and 2) methionine supplementation (0,0.25, 0.50%). The content of Se and Met in basal diet were 0.04mg/kg (startstage) - 0.03mg/kg (end stage), 0.25% (start stage) - 0.23% (end stage),respectively. We mainly made an inquiry into the effects of different Se andMet levels on performance, Se deposition, anti-oxidation ability, thyriodhormones metablism of broilers, to provide scientific basis for further 3硒源及有机硒与蛋氨酸互作对肉鸡生产性能,肉质和生理生化指标的影响understanding the relationship between organic selenium and dietarymethionine, and their reasonally application in feed.Production performance, meat physical and chemical characteristics, tissuesSe content, GSH-Px activity, MDA content, serum T3 and T4, and so on, wereassayed in these two experiment. The main results are:In Exp. 1.(1)Results indicated that basal diet supplemented with optimal Se(inorganic or organic Se) increased birds daily gain and feed conversion rate(P<0.05). The optimal dosage of inorganic and organic Se were 0.15,0.30mg/kg, repectively. Se sources did not influence significantly broilersdaily gain and feed conversion rate (P>0.05). (2) Diet supplemented with Seimproved meat color, decreased drip loss, and organic Se was better thaninorganic Se to improve meat quality. (3) Diet added with Se increased Secontent in blood, liver and breast muscle (P<0.05), and Se contents in tissueswere ascended with Se supplementation (P<0.05). Se sources did not influenceSe deposition in blood (P>0.05), but Se content in liver and breast muscle ofbroilers fed on organic Se increased significantly comparing to inorganic Se(P<0.05). (4) When basal diet supplemented with Se, GSH-Px in serum, liver, kidney and breast muscle increased, while MDA decreased significantly(P<0.05). 0.30mg/kg supplementation of organic Se is better than 0.15mg/kg,while with regard to inorganic Se, 0.15mg/kg supplementation is better than0.30mg/kg. Se sources did not influence significantly GSH-Px activity andMDA content (P>0.05), but GSH-Px activity in serum, kidney, and breastmuscle of broilers fed on organic Se increased significantly comparing toinorganic Se at the same level (P<0.05), while MDA content decreasedsignificantly (P<0.05). (5) Both organic Se and inorganic Se decreased theserum concentration of T4and elevated the concentration of T3. Broilers fed onorganic Se have less T4 and more T3 than those fed on inorganic Se, and0.30mg/kg Se supplementation is more efficient than 0.15mg/kg. 4山东农业大学硕士学位论文In Exp. 2. (1) Se or Met deficiency inhibited broilers growth, decreased feedconversion rate, if Se and Met were deficient at the same time, performance ofbroilers would decreased more critically. Basal diet supplemented withoptimal organic Se (0.30mg/kg) and Met (0.25%) could promote br...
