Bombyx mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV) as the main illness ofthe Bombyx mori has been studied for many fields .We use BmNPV as thevirus insectcide for the other kinds of pest. In this study, we infected 11species of pest in agriculture and forestry to find which species pest is easy tobe infected, and studied the infection of 1st to 6th instar Lymantria disparlarvae infected by BmNPV. The delibation of BmNPV for the Lymantriadispar larvae also studied. The respiration of the Lymantria dispar larvaeinfected by BmNPV were measured by Warburg respiratory apparatus andinfrared carbon dioxide apparatus. The results are following:1.The infection of BmNPV for the other species of insect We use BmNPV infect Phalera flavescens, Spodoptera exigua, Mamestrabrassicae, Plutella xylostella, Pieris rapae, Dedrolimus spectabilis,Dendrolimus tabulaeformis, Lymantria dispar, Pryeria sinica, Acantholydaposticalis, Semiothisa cineraearia , the result is that P. flavescens, S. exigua, M.brassicae, P. sinica, L. dispar are infected by BmNPV, the mortalityrespectively reach 43.2%,56.3%,7.8%,16.4%. We select L. dispar for thefollowing study.2.The control effection of BmNPV for the indoor population of L. dispar The results of 4 kinds of concentration Bombyx mori nuclearpolyhedrosis virus infected 1 to 5 instar larvae of Lymantria dispar are that themortality of the infected larval are higher than the comparisons. The controleffect of the concentration of 1.44×106PIB/ml is best. The 2nd and 4th instarlarvae are sensitive for the BmNPV, the mortalities of these larvae are higherthan other larvae. At the same time, we fitted the regression relations or model. Applied the life table technique to set up Age-specific life table.According to the Age-specific life table, the life expectancy of all age,assumedfalling tendency with increase of ages. But the value of infected dealment islower than the normal. The index of the population tendency for the infected issignificant lower than the normal. From the index of theweight and length for the sixth-instar larval, the compared suits are higherobviously than the infected larval. Compared with the weight of pupa and thetime of pupate, the non-infected larval is higher and earlier than infected larval.The emergence rate of the infected larval is lower than the non-infected larval.The sex ratio is 1: 3.05, it's higher than the non-infected. The number of egglay by the infected adult is 77.4, it's far lower than 119.7 lay by thenon-infected adults. The resorts suggested that BmNPV not only kill the larval,but can delibate the live larval.with the increasing of chmora, the effect ismore obviously.4.The vary of respiration for Lymantria dispar 5th ,6th instar larvalinfected by BmNPV After infected with BmNPV, the respiratory rate within 72hr to 120hr inLymantria dispar larvae was lower than that of the non-infected larvae. Thetrends of the respiratory curve infected by BmNPV is alike that of the cohostvirus. The respitartory rate reaches the culmination, then decrease. But thevalue of the vary respiration is not significant.
