Inter-Simple Sequence Repeats (ISSR) was applied to analyse the genetic relationships between Chlamys farreri Chlamys nobilis. and their four kinds of descendants in order to reveal the genetic difference and the genetic relationships between the parents and their descendants.Three random primers from total 40 kinds primers were used to amplify the genome DNA, 169 bands were yielded and the average frequency of the polymorphism accoutered for 66.44%. The hybrids inherited bands from both parents indicating that the hybrids are real heterogenous. By the analysis of genetic diversity genetic distance and the loci distributing trend, we found that the hybrids not only showed greater genetic diversity, but also showed distinct difference from the inbreeding descendants in the genetic relationships with the parents or other descendants. We also found that the genetic relationships between hybrids and their parents are not equal, the female parents transfer more genetic loci to their descendants, which indicate that hybrids inherit more genetic information from the female parents or less genetic information from the female parents has changed. These analysis results can be used to instruct the crossbreeding in reality.
