Three I.atin-square-designed trials were taken on 15 castrated male pigs (DurocXLandranceXYorkshire, initial body weight: 40 + 2kg) to evaluation the Apparent Digestible Energy (ADE) and Apparent Metabolizable Energy (AME) of seven kinds of cereal by-products and distillers dried grain including rice bran, rice bran meal, rice hull, brewers dried grain, distillers dried grain, DDGS and wheat bran and six kinds of beans meals (sol.or exp.) including rapeseed meal, cottonseed meal, sesame meal, peanut meal, sunflower meal and soybean meal. Testing diets are formulated by substituting these feedstuffs respectively for 15-30% basal diet. After determining the content of DM, ADF, NDF, CP, CF, EE, GE, Ash, St and Su of diets and feedstuffs and calculating the Hemi, NFE and SCHO Software SPSS10.0 was employed to analyze the regression relationship between these parameters and ADE and AME. The applying effects and limitation of the regression equations were discussed. Using the NE prediction equation of NRC (1998), author calculated and compared the NE values of these feedstuffs. The results showed that: Feedstuffs classified could improve accuracy of models; The ME models with DE and CP were better than that with components simply for Cereal By-products and Distillers Dried Grain. ME coefficients of NE were from 34% to 74% of the twelve sorts of feedstuffs in the experimentation. Fiber was the most important factor in predicting the ADE of cereal by-products and distillers dried grain and beans meals (sol. or exp.) in pigs. ADF was the best predictor for cereal by-products and distillers dried grain and EE entered the two-variable prediction equation just after ADF. NDF was the best predictor forbeans meals (sol. or exp.) and CP entered the two-variable prediction equation just after NDF.Given various factors, the best prediction equations are set up as follows:By- products of cereal and distillers dried grain:(1) DE (MJ/kg) =16. 457-0. 178**ADF (R2=0. 766 RSD=2.3254 P=0. 01)(2) DE (MJ/kg) =12. 809-0. 136*ADF+0.371*EE (R2=0. 925 RSD=1. 3219 P=0. 006)(3) ME (MJ/kg) -0.06598+0. 965**DE-0. 00506CP (R2=1.00 RSD=0.007184 P=0. 000) Beans meals (sol.or exp.):(1) DE (MJ/kg) =21.782-0. 336*NDF (R2=0. 829 RSD=1. 3080 P=0. 012)(2) DE (MJ/kg) =11.206(0. 252*CP-0.525**ADF (R2=0. 970 RSD=O.5501 P=0. 005)(3) ME (MJ/kg) =-0. 901 + 1. 058**DE-0. 0214CP (R2=0. 985 RSD=O. 4025 P=0. 002)...
