The heat transferring processes usually require to be learned in the study of agricultural material's processing and conservation. Thus, the thermal properties parameters are indispensable. Material's heat properties not only are numerical data in deciding whether the material suits for working process or not, but also are the fundamental parameters when analysing concrete heat transferring processes, designing projects, setting the best work condition and manufacturing special processing machines. The thermal properties of pellet feed haven't been researched systemically so far, because they always vary in a little wide range for feed's different components. Based on the reasons above, four essential parameters of pellet feed are determined, intending to provide a reference for relative studies and fill a blank in feed field. In the light of former researches on agricultural materials, the four parameters-heat capacity, thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and convective heat-transfer coefficient in cool drying process are measured by certain techniques, which perform on apparatuses designed previously. Based on the trial data, relations are found eventually. The pellet samples, from some feed company in Hubei Province, are representative because they are processed with the nation or industry standards. Heat capacity C is measured in heat measuring apparatus and the heat leak is amended with graphic method to attain higher precision. Thermal conductivity A of mass and single pellet is successively measured by an efficient and steady heating system, of which the heat source is infrared ray. The milli-volt instrument and thermocouple is a way to measure temperature and it's of higher precision and has fewer errors. Thermal diffusivity a is researched based on the study of C and. In this thesis, the volume convective heat-transfer coefficient, is measured on the thin-bed drying plat in terms of the principle of cooling machine and the Boyce drying theory, focusing on the air velocity v or mass flux G affecting on h.According to the models, C and A both are of positive linear relation to T and M, while a is of negative linear relations. And C, A and are all strongly affected by T and M. To help to the practical applications, the rules of A and a of the mass pellet are also found. h is of positive logarithm relation to v or G under a certain hypothesis.
