In order to evaluate the effect of two kinds of new fertile nematocides (SB[ SY) developed in our laboratory and three kinds of HA (NaFA, KFA, CFA) on reducing plant parasitic nematodes and the other trophic groups, the study was carried in the greenhouse cucumber in LianCheng township, Tongxu county, Kaifeng city, He'nan province. All nematodes isolated from the rhizosphere soil were identified into 18 genera belonging to 13 families of 6 orders. These nematodes were belonged into five kinds of trophic groups that were bacterivores, insect nematode, phytophage, omnivore-predator, fungivores. There were 4 genera of 4 families of 1 order in the group of phytophage and they were the genera of Meloidogyne, Tylenchorhynchus, Tylenchus and Helicotylenchus, but the number of Helicotylenchus was a little. The results showed: 1) the population density of root-knot nematodes and stunt nematodes in the treatments of fertile nematocides (SB, SY) were lower than that of Xianke, a conventional chemical nematocides as control (CK). The fertile nematocides (SB, SY) increase the dominance of bacterivores and insect nematodes in the late growing season; 2) comparing the clear water as CK, nine kinds of treatments of SY in the various concentration and frequency had good effects on reducing the population density of stunt nematodes. Among these treatments, concentrations in 600ml or 400ml had higher effects than concentration in 200ml , and once every 45 days or 30 days had higher effects than once every 15days; 3) in the late growing season, the population density of stunt nematodes and root-rot nematodes in the six kinds treatments (CFA, NaFA, KFA, CFA+SY , NaFA+SY, SY) were lower than the clear water as CK, especially CFA+SY. Comparing the clear water as CK, five kinds of treatments increased the population density and dominance of bacterivores and insect nematodes except the CFA+SY, while CFA+SY decreased the population dendity of insect nematodes and increased the dominance of insect nematodes in late growing season.
