In this experiment paclobutrazol was used to control weeds growth in apple orchard. Eleven-year-old 'fuji' apple was used as the material. The effects of paclobutrazol with different concentrations (900g/hm~2, 1350g/hm~2, 1800 g/hm~2, 2250g/hm~2) on growth of apple shoot and fruit qualities, the soil temperature, soil moisture and soil areation ,field capacity, content of organic were discussed. The result showed that the paclobutrazol which was 1800g/hm~2 could markedly improve the content of soil water of 20cm and 35cm depth soil., increase soil bulk density and decrease the content of organic in the lower soil, and increase the content of phosphorus and kalium, but decrease the content of nitrogen. After application of paclobutrazol, the growth of shoot was inhibited, the leaf area was decreased, and the flesh firmness, and soluble solid matter, and content of fruit Vc were increased, but the fruit L/D was not affected.
