| VFI (voluntary feed intake) of grazing Inner Mongolia White Cashmere Goat (IMWCG) and the influence of different nutrition levels on the performances of reproduction and cashmere production of IMWCG were studied.Experiment 1, Acid insoluble ash (AIA) was applied in the determination of voluntary feed intake (VFI) of IMWCGs in oestrus season and the nutrients of grass were analyzed to determine the nutrients intake. The result indicated that from September to October, the daily VFI of IMWCGs ranged from 1455.86 g to 1441.10 g, the total nutrients intake of crude protein and metabolism energy varied from 145.44 g tol35.46 g and from 14.79MJ to 14.53 MJ respectively. In the period of the experiment, the total nutrients intake of IMWCGs was enough for their requirement of nutrition.Experiment 2, 120 IMWCGs, 2.5 year-old, were divided into four groups according to their body weight, last year parturition rate and cashmere yield, one control group and three treatment groups, 30 IMWCGs per group. The effect of different nutrition levels on reproduction of the grazing IMWCGs was studied. The result shows that the nutrients intake, grazing and grazing plus supplementation, was enough for the basic nutrients requirement of reproduction, no significant influence on the rate of fecundation, oestrus and birth weight of twins (P > 0.05). Supplementation improved the rate of twins significantly (P < 0.05), and significant influence on the average birth weight (P < 0.05).Experiment 3, According to the body weight and last year parturition rate and cashmere yield, one hundred and twenty 2.5 year-old IMWCGs were divided into four groups which includes one control group and three treatment groups, 30 ones per group. The effects of different nutrition levels of grazing and grazing plus supplementation on the performance of cashmere were studied. The result indicated that the yield, diameter and length of cashmere varied insignificantly (P > 0.05) with the nutrition level increasing.Conclusion: Grazing IMWCGs could get enough nutrients from grass for their reproduction and cashmere production. |
