The morphisms of seven functional genes ( IGF1, MSTN, MyoG, RYR1, RBP4, PRLR and ESR) and their relationship to reproduction performance were investigated by PCR-RFLPs in this paper, to provide the theoretical basis for further selection of Suhuai pigs using these molecular genetic markers. The results showed that the seven genes all had polymorphisms. IGF1, MyoG, RBP4, PRLR and ESR genes were found having 2 alleles and 3 genotypes by PCR-RFLPs, 2 allels and 2 genotypes were detected in RYR1 gene, 2 allels and 1 genotype were detected in MSTN gene.Through PCR-RFLPs, we found NN and Nn genotypes in RYR1 gene and the n allele frequency was 0.1318.Hard-Weinberg test showed that MyoG, MSTN, ESR genes were unbalanced in Suhuai pigs and the other four genes,IGF1, RYR1, PRLR, RBP4 genes, were in balance in Suhuai pigs.Variance analysis revealed that the PCR-RFLPs marker at IGF1 gene loci had a close relation to 20-day body weight (P<0.05) , with AA genotype being 0.31 kg and 0.51 kg higher than AB and BB genotypes respectively. For RYR1 gene, heterozygous genotype Nn showed predominance at birth weight, 20-day body weight and 40-day body weight over NN genotype individuals. RYR1 genotype animals showed significant difference in litter size (P<0.05) .RBP4, PRLR and ESR did not show significant relationship to reproduction performance in Suhuai pigs .
